Erica's Dress
Erica was such an excited and enthusiastic bride. She came to me with some really different ideas and we both felt that I was up to the challenge. The design started off with a dress Erica had purchased in Melbourne and she really want to incorporate it into the final gown. It was a beautiful linen metal mix and had a lovely texture. There were cover buttons down the left side and then a tie on the right shoulder. We also decided to do a separate silk slip to wear underneath, keeping to top layer sheer and light. So with some inspiration from Australia design Toni Matechevski, I started creating and got to work.
Erica truly brought the dress to life. It was a mix of lots of scrumptious fabrics, cotton sheen, raw silk tulle, foiled crinkle chiffon and a silk metal blend. This was a very unique dress and just perfect for Erica. She looked positively radiant on the day.
