Anita's Dress and Birdcage Veil
Anita wanted a chic, yet elegant dress to wear on her wedding day. Having an outdoor ceremony we opted for soft flowing fabrics that would bring the dress to life.
The dress was made of an ivory silk satin with a crinkle silk chiffon overlay. The bodice was lightly gathered with a deep 'V neckline' at the front and a plunging lower back. The neckline and armholes were bound with a very fine matching binding. A slimmer fit through the skirt with the fullness added to the overlay and a subtle train at the back. Covered buttons were a nice touch of detail down the center back. The waistband gave the dress beautiful definition and shape. It was made from embroidered organza, a duchess silk satin backing and hand beaded Swarovski crystals. The birdcage veil finished off the look, with ivory feathers and a vintage brooch borrowed from Anita's Grandmother for the special day.
This was the absolute perfect dress for Anita, as she looked just gorgeous on her big day. I think the style of dress and neutral tones used worked magically with the breath taking outdoor landscape.
